Thanks for coming to my website!
I’m a 17-year-old high school student in Gig Harbor, Washington. I have a great family, a great dog and a desire to develop my voice as a baritone.
My goal is to become an opera singer. I have a really wonderful voice teacher, Alison Ellis, who is the Choir Director at Peninsula High School. Ms. Ellis was the winner of the Mid-South District Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions and has had an extensive career in opera and music herself, singing with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, the Memphis Symphony Orchestra, and the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra. She suggested that I apply for the Tanglewood Institute’s 6-week summer program for Young Artists Vocal Performance and I was accepted! I couldn’t believe it – but then the school told me that their scholarship funds were already committed. The program is expensive. I’m working as hard as I can, but there’s no way I can make enough money in time.
I know this program will be an important stepping stone for me. I’m anxious to go, and to learn as much as I can about music and vocal performance. Ms. Ellis suggested I open a scholarship fund to help, and I thank you for coming to see this website. Any amount will help me get closer to my goal.
I hope you’ll check out the information about the Tanglewood Institute’s summer program and my audition tape and some of the pictures and information about me. And I hope you’ll support me in reaching my goal to attend this summer! Thank you!
